As well as our beautiful Hobbit House in the woods, we have a Cosy Den shelter with a wood burning stove which provides shelter for stories, play and lunch. There are four environmentally friendly composting toilets and facilities for standing changing and handwashing. 

To promote good infection prevention and control practice in Silver Birch Outdoor Nursery we have handwashing stations situated in the toilet area and outside the hobbit house and Cosy Den to maintain good hand hygiene as part of Standard Infection Control Precautions (SICPs).

As the site continues to be developed by the children we have recently added a poly tunnel, tarped areas for shelters and newly developed areas around our woodland. Below is a site map as dictated by the children
